As Governor, Michael will take seriously his position as Commander-in-Chief of the Michigan National Guard and will also stand wholeheartedly in support of caring for our Veterans. Michael believes that we must always honor the sacrifice and service of our nation’s veterans, and part of that is committing to improve veteran employment and reduce veteran suicides. Both will be priorities for Michael. Additionally, leading and deploying troops is a solemn and serious responsibility. Michael recognizes the seriousness of this role and will always act strategically and respectfully when utilizing the Michigan National Guard’s resources.
