As a father of three school-aged children, education and the state of our schools is a deeply personal issue to Michael. He knows that parents need to be in charge of their children’s education. He also understands that it is unacceptable for 52% of our third graders to be behind in reading while our schools are focusing on teaching critical race theory and gender theory. We need to focus on teaching our children how to think, not what to think. As Governor, Michael will put an end to radical indoctrination in our schools and put the focus back where it belongs: on academic excellence.

As a successful entrepreneur, Michael also understands the tremendous incentivizing and innovating power of competition. With a voucher system, we put parents in the driver’s seat and create competition in education to generate the best results. That’s why he believes that taxpayer dollars should follow students so that our Michigan education system can be the best in the country.
